Home Ministry Begins Daily Review of Election Security Ahead of February 21 Polls

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Home Affairs has started conducting daily reviews regarding election security. The secretariat of Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal stated that daily reviews have commenced concerning the House of Representatives elections scheduled for Falgun 21.

Discussions on making the security arrangements more effective were held in the Central Security Committee meetings consecutively on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Central Security Committee is currently discussing daily reviews, strategies, and manpower mobilization related to the elections.

The Home Minister's secretariat informed that the Central Security Committee is minutely analyzing information and activities related to the local and central situation and the elections. Security personnel have been mobilized across the country according to the integrated security plan.

The Central Security Committee meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal decided to further strengthen and enhance election security to ensure the elections are conducted impartially, fearlessly, and peacefully. High-ranking officials from all four security agencies were present at the meeting.
