Home Ministry Forms Committee to Investigate Fatal Dhading Bus Accident

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Home Affairs has decided to form a committee to investigate the Dhading bus accident. Rama Acharya Subedi, the information officer for the Ministry of Home Affairs, informed Ratopati that a decision was made to form an investigation committee into the incident where 19 people died in a bus accident in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-5, Dhading, on Monday morning.

Following the significant loss of life and property in the accident, a decision to form an investigation committee was made during a discussion held at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday involving Home Minister Omprakash Aryal, the Secretary of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure, the Director General of the Department of Roads, the Federation of Transport Entrepreneurs, the heads of the three security agencies, and stakeholders. Subedi informed that the leadership and the exact size of the committee have not yet been finalized.

The bus with registration number Ga2Kha 1421, traveling from Pokhara to Kathmandu, fell into the Trishuli River bank at a place called Bhaise-gounda in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-5, Dhading, on Sunday night.
