India Struggles in T20 World Cup Super 8 Clash Against South Africa, Losing Five Wickets Early

Ahmedabad. In the third Super-8 match of the ongoing ICC T-20 World Cup, the Indian national cricket team is under pressure after losing five wickets before completing 10 overs.

Chasing a challenging target of 188 set by the South African national cricket team, India lost half its side for just 50 runs by the 10th over.

Captain Suryakumar Yadav was the fifth wicket to fall, caught out. Earlier, India lost Ishan Kishan without scoring a run. Tilak Varma was out for just one run, while Abhishek Sharma could not sustain his innings despite scoring 15 runs. Washington Sundar returned to the pavilion after scoring 11 runs off 11 balls.

Earlier, South Africa, having won the toss and elected to bat first at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, scored 187 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. For Africa, David Miller played an aggressive innings of 63 runs off 35 balls, while Dewald Brevis contributed 45 runs.

In bowling, India's Jasprit Bumrah took 3 wickets. Arshdeep Singh grabbed 2 wickets.
