Two Temporary Polling Stations Designated in Sunsari for Upcoming Federal Elections

Sunsari. Two temporary polling stations have been designated in Sunsari for the House of Representatives election scheduled for the upcoming Falgun 21.

The District Election Office, Sunsari, announced that two temporary polling stations have been assigned for the election in the district. District Election Officer Krishna Paudel informed that a temporary polling station has been designated at the Jhumka Prison in Ramdhuni-5 for inmates, and another at the Agricultural Business Promotion Center in Ramdhuni Municipality-1 for government employees and security personnel.

The polling station at the prison will allow inmates to exercise their right to vote, while employees and security personnel will cast their votes from the Agricultural Business Center, stated Election Officer Paudel of the District Election Office. The Election Office indicated that the district has a record of over two thousand temporary voters. It was also mentioned that the number might fluctuate as names will be approved on the temporary voter rolls after the election preparations are finalized.

The District Election Office stated that temporary voters do not have the facility to vote for direct candidates. Similarly, across Koshi Province, 28 temporary electoral constituencies and temporary voters have been designated based on the district-wise allocation of temporary polling stations.
