Election Materials Arrive in Gandaki Province Ahead of Parliamentary Vote

Kaski. All 52 types of election materials, excluding the ballot papers for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21, have reached all 11 districts of Gandaki Province.

The Provincial Election Office, Pokhara, stated that the transportation of ballot papers has also commenced. Rudranath Neupane, Information Officer at the office, confirmed that the ballot papers arrived in Kaski today.

"The 52 types of materials required for the election have reached the districts, and the transportation of ballot papers to districts other than Kaski will begin on Sunday," he said. "The Election Office and the Office of the Chief Election Officer are engaged in the final preparations for the election." Information Officer Neupane mentioned that out of the 53 types of materials used during the election, 49 will be sent to the polling stations, and the remaining materials will be used at the office.

The Provincial Election Office also reported that the deployment of personnel for the election is being managed alongside the material management. More than 14,000 employees will be deployed for the election in Gandaki Province. Information Officer Neupane stated that polling officers, assistant polling officers, and other staff will be trained before being sent to the polling centers. This province has 1,297 polling stations and 2,396 voting centers. The number of voters is 1,870,065.

In the House of Representatives election in Gandaki Province in BS 2079, there were 1,662,246 voters. In the current election, 207,819 new voters have been added. There are 18 House of Representatives constituencies in this region.
