Prime Minister Directs Fair and Peaceful Upcoming House of Representatives Election Preparation

Rupandehi. Prime Minister Sushila Karki has directed that preparations be made to conduct the upcoming House of Representatives election in a fair and peaceful manner.

Informing about the situation in Lumbini Province today regarding election preparations, Prime Minister Karki, while giving directions at the provincial-level security meeting, stated that conducting the election fairly and peacefully is everyone's responsibility, and directed everyone to be responsible in this regard, informed Krishna Prasad Kapri, Chief Secretary of the Lumbini Provincial Government, after the meeting.

Chief Secretary Kapri informed that Prime Minister Karki, along with others, reviewed the overall election preparations and security situation of the province at the Provincial Integrated Security Meeting held this morning at the Mid-Western Division Headquarters in Butwal.

Chief Secretary Kapri informed that the Prime Minister directed the district security committees to identify the challenges in the respective districts and move forward with a security strategy accordingly.

Chief Secretary Kapri stated that the Prime Minister directed to identify challenges at polling stations district-wise, classify them, and proceed according to the integrated security plan involving the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force.

Chief Secretary Kapri informed that information was provided to the Prime Minister regarding the plans made by the District Security Committees in all 12 districts for conducting the election fairly and peacefully, by coordinating preparations in all 12 districts of the province and communicating with the Election Command Cell formed in the province.

During the meeting, information was provided by the Division Commander of the Nepali Army Himmat Bahadur Bista, the Provincial Chief of Nepal Police, Deputy Inspector General of Police Bhupendra Bahadur Khatri, Additional Inspector General of the Armed Police Force, and the Chief District Officers of various districts who participated in the meeting.
