Bagmati Province Trails Nepal APF Club by 31 Runs in Jay Trophy Men's Elite Cup

Kathmandu. Bagmati Province is trailing Nepal APF Club by 31 runs in the Jay Trophy Men's Elite Cup. At the end of the first day's play, Bagmati scored 1 run for the loss of 1 wicket in their second innings.

Earlier, after losing the toss and opting to bat first, Bagmati Province declared their innings at 207 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Bibek Magar was the top scorer for the team with 42 runs.

Rijan Dhakal and Ashutosh Ghirai contributed 35 runs each. Shubha Kansakar scored 34 runs, while Surya Tamang added 27 runs.

For the Armed Police Force (APF), Irshad Ahmed took 3 wickets, while Yuvraj Khatri and Rohit Paudel took 2 wickets each. Amar Rautela and Abhishek Gautam claimed 1 wicket apiece.

In reply, APF was all out for 239 runs in their first innings, securing a slim lead. Captain Rohit Paudel and Sandeep Jora played half-century innings for the team.

Paudel remained not out on 87 runs, facing 113 balls and hitting 13 fours. Jora contributed 61 runs off 48 balls, which included 11 fours and 1 six.

Openers Dipak Bohora and Asif Sheikh scored 38 runs and 28 runs respectively.

Rijan Dhakal took 3 wickets for Bagmati, while Bipin Acharya and Surya Tamang took 2 wickets each. Tilak Bhandari and Ishan Pandey claimed 1 wicket each.
