Finance Minister Assures Adequate Resources for Upcoming Elections

Lalitpur. Finance Minister Rameshwar Khanal has expressed his determination not to let any shortage of resources necessary for conducting the upcoming elections occur. Addressing the 'Nepal Tourism Symposium' organized in Lalitpur, Minister Khanal stated that the entire focus of the government is on making the elections impartial and successful.

At the event jointly organized by the Tourism Board and Indicator Media, he assured that the environment for elections would be ensured by properly mobilizing state resources. The Finance Minister emphasized that the country must now move towards economic prosperity, exiting the debate on political instability.

He stated that the biggest challenge facing the government is to cut through the political uncertainty and steer the country towards economic agendas. Khanal admitted that although the previous government had announced facilities equivalent to industry status for the tourism sector, it had not been fully implemented. He committed that the government is making policy improvements to solve the problems in the tourism sector and will make them effective.

Claiming that the government is making every possible effort to strengthen the country's economy, the Finance Minister informed that various policy works are underway. He argued that collaboration with the private sector is necessary for the upliftment of tourism and other economic sectors. He also expressed confidence that a stable government after the elections would further accelerate economic development plans.
