World Day of Social Justice Observed Globally

Kathmandu. Today, the World Day of Social Justice is being celebrated in various countries with diverse programs. This day is observed every year under the auspices of the International Labour Organization (ILO).

According to the resolution passed by the United Nations General Assembly on November 26, 2007, it was decided to observe this day every year on February 20, starting from 2009.

The main objective of this day is to call upon the global community to unite for the promotion of social justice, equal opportunity, labor rights, and decent work.
