Vice President Yadav Stresses Challenges in Maintaining Quality Journalism

Kathmandu. Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav stated that maintaining quality journalism remains challenging. He made these remarks on Thursday during the 65th anniversary of RSS (Rastriya Samachar Samiti).

He emphasized the crucial role of the media sector in strengthening the federal democratic republic and keeping citizens informed. He stressed that the media must strongly advocate for constitutional values such as federalism, democracy, republicanism, secularism, and inclusivity.

The Vice President called upon journalists to work in the national interest with a transformative mindset, free from bias and prejudice.

He emphasized that RSS must refine and revise its professional conduct to turn the challenges brought by the development of modern technology in the journalism sector into opportunities.

Vice President Yadav also suggested giving equal priority to issues of public concern at the provincial level, along with education and health, in addition to politics-centric news.
