At the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata, England, after winning the toss and choosing to bat first, posted a massive total of 202 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

For England, Will Jacks played an aggressive unbeaten innings of 53 runs off 22 balls. He hit 3 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. Tom Banton contributed 30, Phil Salt 28, and Sam Curran 25 runs.

Chasing a target of 203, Italy was bowled out for 178 in 20 overs. Ben Mantenti scored 60 runs while Justin Mosca added 43 runs. The two shared a 92-run partnership, attempting to bring their team back into the game, but Italy remained far from the target due to late wickets.
