Planning Boys United Clinches 26th International Budhasubba Gold Cup Title

Sunsari. Planning Boys United, Kathmandu, has won the title of the 26th International Invitation Budhasubba Gold Cup Football Tournament. Planning Boys secured the title by defeating Church Boys United by a score of 1-0 in the final match held today at Dharan Stadium.

Both teams remained goalless in the first half of the match. In the 18th minute of the second half, Planning Boys player Pratap Singh Rai scored a goal to give his team the lead. As no further goals were scored by either team afterward, Rai's goal proved to be the decisive one.

Church Boys United finished as the runner-up for the second consecutive time in the tournament, while Planning Boys United, participating for the first time, succeeded in becoming the champion of the Budhasubba Gold Cup.

Along with the title, Planning Boys received a prize of NPR 1 million, while the runner-up Church Boys received NPR 500,000. Pujan Thapa of Planning Boys was declared the 'Man of the Match' in the final game. Thapa was awarded NPR 10,000.

Pratap Singh Rai of Planning Boys was declared the Best Player of the Tournament and received one scooter. The Best Goalkeeper was Yogesh Ghimal of Planning Boys, Best Defender was Ningma Ghising, Best Midfielder was Rohan Karki of Church Boys, and Best Striker was Abhyomi Ghosh of Church Boys. They each received a prize of NPR 25,000.

The highest goal scorers of the tournament were Pratap Singh Rai of Planning Boys, Aaron Thapa of Jhapa-11, and Rajesh Dahal, who each received a prize of NPR 12,000.
