Nepal Loses Opening Match to Pakistan A by 30 Runs in DP World Women's Asia Cup Rising Stars Tournament

Bangkok. In the first match of the DP World Women's Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026 tournament that began in Thailand, Nepal was defeated by Pakistan A by 30 runs. Pakistan A set a target of 138 runs for victory against Nepal, but Nepal could only manage 107 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

For Nepal, captain Puja Mahato's opening batter Bindu Rawal contributed 39 runs off 45 balls. She hit 8 fours. Captain Mahato added 11 runs off 16 balls.

Although Kavita Kunwar scored 18 runs and Sita Rana Magar remained not out with 19 runs, they could not take the team to the winning target. Anosha Nasir took 3 wickets for Pakistan, while Momina Riasat took 2 and Wahida Akhtar took 1 wicket.

Earlier, after losing the toss and choosing to bat first, Pakistan scored 137 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Pakistan's captain Hafsa Khalid contributed the highest score of 40 runs. She hit 2 fours and 1 six off 39 balls.
