Progressive Democratic Party Leader Sharma Says 21st Century Movement's Goals Unmet

Janardan Sharma, patron of the Progressive Democratic Party (PrLoPa), stated that although the objective of the revolutionary movement of the 21st century was good governance, prosperity, and equality, it has not been achieved. While extending best wishes on the occasion of the 31st People's War Day, he mentioned that the country is caught in a whirlpool of crisis due to the past party leadership missing historical opportunities. 

He wrote, "We are marking the 31st anniversary of the Great People's War today, which laid the foundation for the epoch-making rebellion of Nepali society, the end of feudalism, and the establishment of an inclusive federal republic, along with the second People's Movement involving seven political parties, the Constituent Assembly, and the achievements gained through the new constitution. I offer heartfelt tribute to the brave martyrs who sacrificed in this great process, and express high respect to the disappeared warriors and the injured fighters."

Stating that the challenge of protecting the constitution and the nation while fulfilling the expectations of the youth has appeared simultaneously, he mentioned that the responsibility to move Nepali politics forward according to the people's expectations by successfully completing the elections on February 21st has now come into the hands of the public.
