Health Minister Pledges Budget Support for Karnali Health Science Academy Expansion

Jumla. Minister for Health and Population Dr. Sudha Gautam has stated that necessary budget management will be arranged for the expansion of health services in Karnali. Visiting Jumla on Tuesday to observe the Karnali Health Science Academy here, Health Minister Gautam assured that there would be no shortage of budget for infrastructure development and service improvement at the academy.

According to her, the work done by the Karnali Health Science Academy in the fields of health service, study, and research is significant amidst difficult geography and limited resources. She stated that the development of physical infrastructure and service improvement at the academy should not be halted due to budget constraints.

Minister Gautam mentioned that she came to Jumla to understand the potential of Karnali. Health Minister Gautam further stated that since it is not possible to allocate a budget of billions at once due to the problem of the multi-purpose project building currently under construction on the Chere Chaur ground of the academy remaining incomplete due to budget constraints, priority will be given in the annual budget.

She informed that the ministry is striving to make the Health Insurance Program more effective. Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Population, Bikash Devkota, informed that the ministry will provide necessary support to further expand the quality health services of the academy.
