Maoist Spokesperson Urges Voters to Elect Leaders Capable of Allocating Budget, Not Just Requesting It

Kalikot. Spokesperson for the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) and candidate for the House of Representatives, Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma 'Prakanda', has urged the public to elect a leader capable of providing the budget for Kalikot's development, rather than one who has to lobby in Singha Durbar for it. He stated this while addressing election rallies in various locations of Khandachakra Municipality on Sunday.

Prakanda commented that leaders elected from Kalikot in the past often had to wait for months to meet ministers and the prime minister. 'Leaders who line up to beg for the budget cannot develop the district; we have direct access to national politics,' he said. 'We do not have to wait to meet anyone; we maintain direct access to the place where the budget is allocated, and only then will the face of Kalikot and the entire Karnali region change.'

He claimed that Kalikot is not an ordinary district but one that holds strong influence in national politics. He brought up the context of the 2064 Constituent Assembly, alleging that he struggled greatly to create the people's constitution and that the Constituent Assembly was 'murdered' at that time.

He stated that he has continuously fought both inside and outside the party to protect the achievements of the Maoist movement and the People's War. Saying that this election is different from the past, he appealed to boycott the corrupt and commission-takers and elect a true nationalist and people's leader.
