Dembele Shines as PSG Thrash Rivals Marseille 5-0 in 'Le Classique'

Paris. Star winger Ousmane Dembele scored twice as Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) stunned their arch-rivals Marseille in the 'Le Classique' clash.

PSG secured a massive 5-0 victory on Marseille's home ground, reclaiming their top spot in Ligue 1. With this win, the defending champions extended their lead over second-placed Lens to two points.

Ballon d'Or winner Dembele opened the scoring in the 12th minute. Twenty-five minutes later, he doubled the team's lead with a spectacular solo run from the right flank to score a brilliant goal. PSG, who established control in the first half, gave Marseille no chances in the second half either.

PSG's victory became even easier when Facundo Medina scored an own goal in the 64th minute. Less than two minutes later, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia added the team's fourth goal with an excellent volley from a superb pass by Dembele.

Substitute Lee Kang-in scored the fifth goal, securing a magnificent victory for Luis Enrique's team. Following this defeat, Roberto De Zerbi's Marseille remains in fourth place but is now 12 points behind league leaders PSG.
