Migrant workers from S. Korea provide financial supports to needy

Ilam – Migrant workers in South Korea originally from Ilam district have extended financial supports for the treatment of some needy people in Ilam district. 


Suryodaya Sewa Samaj, a loose network of migrant workers from Ilam district in South Korea, has provided Rs 400,000 plus in cash support to the families of three patients in the district. 


Rhitik Ghimire of Ilam Municipality-4, a blood cancer patient, was provided with Rs 310,000 on Tuesday amid a formal programme at the presence of Chief of District Coordination Committee Ganesh Baral and others. 


Likewise, Niru Rai of Ilam Municipality-5, who has sustained burn injuries, was given Rs 62,000 on the occasion. 


Furthermore, the family members of heart patient Nisani Sauden of Sandakpur Rural Municipality were handed over Rs 30,000 in cash. 


On the occasion, Rhitik's family was handed over Rs 13,850 in cash collected from journalist Naren Ilameli.
