Over 7,000 Police Personnel to be Deployed for Upcoming House of Representatives Election in Gandaki Province

Pokhara. Seven thousand one hundred forty police personnel will be deployed across the 11 districts of Gandaki Province for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21. According to the Gandaki Province Police Office, 1,003 police will be deployed in Gorkha, 163 in Manang, 606 in Lamjung, and 957 in Kaski.

Similarly, 838 police will be deployed in Tanahun, 940 in Syangja, 818 in Nawalpur, 202 in Mustang, 411 in Myagdi, 658 in Baglung, and 439 in Parbat. Senior Superintendent of Police Karki stated that a total of 14,012 election police will be stationed across the province.

This province, which has 18 House of Representatives constituencies, has 1,870,065 registered voters.

According to the Provincial Election Office, Kaski has the highest number of voters at 308,572, while Manang has the lowest at 7,000. Syangja has 248,816 voters, Tanahun has 254,397, Nawalpur has 268,526, Gorkha has 229,058, and Baglung has 193,181 voters.

Likewise, Lamjung has 137,124 voters, Parbat has 125,466, Myagdi has 86,397, and Mustang has 11,438 voters. A total of 1,297 polling stations and 2,396 voting centers have been established in all 11 districts of the province.
