Nepal Women's National Football Team to Face China's Yunnan Youth Team in Friendly Match

Kathmandu. The Nepali National Women's Football Team is set to play a friendly football match against China's Yunnan Youth Women's Team on Saturday. The match, organized coinciding with the Chinese New Year, will kick off in the afternoon at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor.

Both teams have completed their preparations for the match, which is jointly organized by the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), Yunnan University, and the Nepal Overseas Chinese Association. At a press conference held on Friday before the match, Nepali team captain Birsana Chaudhary expressed confidence that the result would favor Nepal due to the team's excellent 'teamwork' and coordination. She also stated that the team is very excited to play against the Chinese team on home ground.

Nepali team's Head Coach Yam Prasad Gurung also informed that the players are physically and mentally ready. Meanwhile, the Chinese team's coach and captain stated that playing against the Nepali team would be a good experience for them and promised a competitive game. This match, coordinated by the Chinese Embassy in Nepal and the National Sports Council, is expected to further strengthen the sporting relations between the two countries.

Before the match begins, various cultural tableaux and presentations reflecting the cultural diversity of Nepal and China will also be showcased. ANFA has been regularly organizing such friendly matches between the youth teams of Nepal and China for the past three years.
