President Paudel to Embark on Official Visit to Japan Next Week

Kathmandu. President Ramchandra Paudel is scheduled to make an official visit to Japan from Magh 18 to 21. Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai informed that President Paudel, leading a Nepali delegation, will depart for Japan on the night of Magh 18 via Nepal Airlines at the invitation of the Japanese government, marking the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Japan. He stated that the President will return home on the same airline on Magh 21 after completing the visit.

During the visit, President Paudel is scheduled to hold a courtesy meeting with Emperor Naruhito of Japan at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo on Magh 20. Foreign Secretary Rai mentioned that Japanese Prime Minister Ms. Takaichi Sanae will also meet with President Paudel on the same day.

On Magh 19, President Paudel will participate in a special welcoming ceremony organized by the Japanese government in connection with celebrating the 70th anniversary of Nepal-Japan diplomatic relations. During the visit, Japan's State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Horii Iwao, will also pay a courtesy call on President Paudel.

The Ministry stated that during the visit, President Paudel will also participate in a meeting with the Japanese business community and attend a reception hosted in his honor by the Nepali Embassy in Japan.

Accompanying President Paudel will be his wife, Mrs. Sabita Paudel, and high-level government officials.
