CPN Expels Central Committee Member Krishna KC for Contesting Elections with Another Party's Symbol

Butwal. The Nepal Communist Party (CPN) has expelled Central Committee member Krishna KC from the party.

Co-chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and Co-chair Madhav Nepal informed through a letter that KC was disciplined to the extent of not remaining a general member for engaging in activities against the party's decision. 
'Information is hereby given that Central Committee member Krishna KC (Banke) of the Nepal Communist Party is being expelled from the party by taking disciplinary action as per Article 106 of the party statute because the said individual filed a candidacy under another party's election symbol in the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21, 2082,' the letter stated. 

 KC had recently been active in the Progressive Democratic Party. It is reported that KC registered her candidacy from the Progressive Democratic Party for the election on Falgun 21.
