Gaighat – Property worth two million rupees was destroyed in a fire that broke out in the house of Ram Kumar Magar in Rautamai rural municipality-2 of the district.
The fire on Wednesday evening reportedly originated from a peltric set that caught fire due to an electric short circuit. The two storey house was completely gutted in the fire, burning down all goods, cereals, cash and kind inside it, District Police Office said.
The fire was put out with the joint effort of the local people and police persons.
