Bajura – A woman from Badi community in Bajura district has finally succeeded in receiving her citizenship at the age of 71.
Sapana Badi of Budhiganga Municipality-7 got her certificate on Friday, the District Administration Office, Bajura, shared.
Sapana was without citizenship after the demise of her husband after some days of their marriage.
Chief District Officer Luk Bahadur Chhetri said that the District Chairman of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Bajura Chapter Prakash Singh took initiatives by establishing coordination with the Municipality Office and the police administration to provide citizenship to Sapana.
It is learnt that Singh and INSEC district representative Padam Bahadur Singh provided the transportation costs required to visit the district headquarters and other offices to collect the citizenship for Sapanta.
