RSS staffer Saha retires from service, bade farewell

Kathmandu, Dec 19: Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS)'s Office Assistant Rajinan Saha has been bade farewell by the RSS's management and employees upon his retirement from the service.

Saha, who had joined the only state-owned news agency in the country on 4 September 1994, retired from his responsibility due to age limit of 58 years effective from December 15 this year.

Towards this, Saha was formally bade farewell at a programme organized at the RSS central office at Bhadrakali today.

During the farewell, RSS Executive Chairman Dharmendra Jha encouraged Saha to take a new step towards making life easier and creative in the days after his retirement from service.

"Every people should be ready to face challenges in every moment of life," philosophized Jha, urging, "The journey after retirement should be made more worthwhile based on the learning and experiences during the service period."

Similarly, RSS General Manager Sandeep Rai observed that induction of new staffer and retirement of the old ones should be viewed as normal phenomena in any vibrant organization.

He symbolically said, "Retirement does not mean a rest. It is rather a beginning of a new journey and it should be utilized optimally."

Highlighting positive attitude and outlook, retired Saha opined that it is natural for anyone to experience bittersweet experience during the service. "So we should move ahead leaving behind the sad and bad aspect," Saha motivated.

On the occasion, RSS central office, Federation of Nepali Journalists RSS Chapter, Nepal National Employees Organization, RSS Employee Union and RSS's staffers presented Saha with a token of love.
