Fire destroys properties valued at Rs 150,000

Kanchanpur – A fire at a private residence on Monday at the Navajagaran block of Beldandi rural municipality – 2 in Kanchanpur has gutted properties estimated at around Rs 150,000. 

According to District Police Office, Kanchanpur's Inspector, Umakant Joshi, short circuit caused the fire to break out inflicting a fractional damage to the residence belonging to Prem Budha. 

Food commodities, clothing and important documents were destroyed in the fire, but there were no human casualties or loss of livestock. The fire was taken under control by the police and local villagers.
