Demand for Investigation into Maoist Center

A coordinator from the Genji Red Force, a group close to the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center), has demanded that the government investigate corruption within the Maoist Center itself. At a press conference held on Sunday in the capital to announce the Genji Red Force's agenda, Smriti Timilsina stated that corruption exists even within the Maoist Center. She insisted that the government must conduct a proper investigation.

"Even Prachanda Should Be Jailed"

Smriti Timilsina was very clear about the consequences of the investigation. She stated that if the investigation finds anyone guilty, they must be sent to jail. She specifically mentioned that this should include the party's coordinator, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is widely known by his nom de guerre Prachanda. She emphasized that no one found guilty should be spared.

Wider Agenda Against Corruption

The Genji Red Force has announced it will actively raise its voice against corruption. The group has put forward several key demands. These demands include having a directly elected executive president and the formation of a cabinet from experts. They also want a fully proportional electoral system. Their other demands involve investigating all corruption cases and taking action, appointing leaders and officials in constitutional and educational bodies through open competition, investigating the assets of all high-ranking officials, and taking strict action against everyone involved in cooperative fraud.
