Kalimati Market Price Update
The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetables Market Development Committee has published the wholesale prices of agricultural products for Sunday. The market lists both expensive and affordable items, with some products reaching high prices due to seasonal or supply factors, while others remain low-cost.
Most Expensive Agricultural Products
The list of the most expensive agricultural products includes parsley, which sells for up to NPR 1,400 per kilogram. This is followed by shitake mushrooms, priced at NPR 1,000 per kilogram, and dried fish, which also reaches NPR 1,000 per kilogram. Other high-priced items include green coriander at NPR 500 per kilogram, mint at NPR 850 per kilogram, kiwi at NPR 400 per kilogram, and curly lettuce at NPR 400 per kilogram. These items are among the costliest in the market due to factors like limited availability, high demand, or specialized cultivation.
Most Affordable Agricultural Products
In contrast, the most affordable items include hybrid cucumber, which sells for a maximum of NPR 40 per kilogram. At the same rate, ripe pumpkin and tree tomatoes are also available. Additionally, squash is priced at a maximum of NPR 40 per kilogram, while long beans and elongated tomatoes are sold at NPR 50 per kilogram. These products are more accessible due to better supply or seasonal abundance.
Note on Price Variations
Please note that these prices are wholesale rates and may vary slightly in retail markets based on factors like quality, demand, and vendor pricing. For the most accurate and updated information, you can refer directly to the Kalimati Market Committee's announcements.
