Presidential Innovista 2025: From Football-Playing Robots to Cybersecurity, 50 Student Projects Showcased in Kathmandu
The tech and business carnival "Presidential Innovista 2025" has begun in Kathmandu, organized by Presidential Graduate School in collaboration with Westcliff University (USA). The event, running until Saun 25 (August 10, 2025), aims to showcase innovative student projects in fields like AI, robotics, cybersecurity, and business simulations.
Key Highlights of the Event
The exhibition features 50 projects developed by final-year BSc IT students, covering:

AI and Software Development (emotion detection systems, web applications)

Robotics (football-playing robots, dancing robots, drone technology)

Cybersecurity (solutions for online fraud, data leaks, and banking security)

Business & IoT (smart irrigation, home automation, tourism promotion software)
Around 170 students are participating, demonstrating Nepal’s growing potential in technology and entrepreneurship.

Encouraging Entrepreneurship
The school’s Startup Incubation Center helps students turn projects into market-ready products. IT and business students collaborate to refine ideas for investors.
Laxman KC, Executive Chairman, stated: "Our goal is to prove that innovation is possible in Nepal. These projects are built from scratch, and we will continue this initiative annually."
International Opportunities for Students
The school, with 1,200 students and 80+ faculty members, offers credit transfer programs with Westcliff University, allowing students to pursue global education.
Principal Kalpana Gurung added: "This event will be held yearly, connecting students with industry leaders and investors to create job and startup opportunities."
The event is free to attend and open to +2 graduates, undergraduates, and tech enthusiasts. It highlights Nepal’s potential in digital creativity and future skills.
