400 Kg of Cannabis Seized in Saptari
Police have recovered approximately 400 kilograms of cannabis from Mahadeva in Saptari. The seizure was made by a joint team comprising personnel from the Armed Police Force's proposed Border Security Unit and Nepal Police.
Hidden in Bushes in Pokas
The cannabis was found hidden in bushes in an abandoned state in Dakaneshwari Municipality-5, Mahadeva. Armed Police Force spokesperson Shailendra Thapa informed that the contraband was concealed in 17 pokas (bags). Security forces recovered a total of 397 kilograms of cannabis.
Ongoing Investigation
Authorities are currently investigating the case to identify those involved in the illegal storage and possible trafficking of the seized cannabis. No arrests have been made so far. Further details will be shared as the investigation progresses.
