Roaming Outside the Valley – My Chitwan Trip Diary

On Monday evening, 7th April, my family planned a trip to Chitwan. My father booked four plane tickets for us (my father, mother, sister, and me). After that, we had dinner, and my mother told me and my sister to go to sleep. We said 'OK' and went to the bedroom. My sister and I were very excited, so we couldn’t sleep at first. But somehow, we managed to fall asleep that night.

The next day, 8th April, my father told us that our flight was at 2:50 PM. We packed our clothes and got ready. After breakfast, my mother remembered that she needed to buy some clothes, so she and my father went shopping. When they returned, it was already 1:30 PM. We quickly got ready, booked a taxi, and went to the airport.

After getting our boarding passes, we went to the plane. Then the air hostess announced that our flight was delayed. We waited for a while, and finally, the plane took off. During the flight, we clicked photos, drank juice, and ate some biscuits.

We landed at Bharatpur Airport and went to our hotel called Bharatpur Town Residency. We rested and freshened up. One fun thing I noticed was that autos are very famous in Chitwan. We found one and rode it to Narayani Beach, where we went electric boating. My mother, father, and I really enjoyed it, but my sister was scared of the water and started crying.

After boating, we went to a restaurant for dinner. Then we stopped at an ice cream shop called Icy Bites and had delicious ice cream. After that, we returned to the hotel and slept.

On the morning of 9th April, we went to Maulakali Temple in Gaindakot. But before reaching the temple, we rode the Maulakali Cable Car. We clicked some nice photos from the cable car. At the temple, we did pooja and took more photos. After that, we had breakfast and headed to Sauraha.

At Sauraha, we went boating in the Rapti River, where we saw many crocodiles swimming. We even saw a Rhino and her baby! Later, a bus came to take us for an elephant safari. We sat on an elephant named Ichchhakali and explored the jungle. We saw many animals and birds and took photos with the elephant too.

After that, we went to Pithuwa, Chitwan, to visit my maternal uncle’s house. We met our grandparents, had some snacks, and then returned to the hotel to rest.

On the morning of 10th April, we visited Devghat, did pooja, and then returned to Kathmandu.

My three-day trip during the vacation was very fun. During this trip, I got the chance to see and learn new things. I also got to make the best use of my school holidays.
