Former King Shah lands at TIA amidst royalist cheers

Kathmandu, March 9 — Former King Gyanendra Shah has arrived in Kathmandu after flying in from Pokhara on Sunday afternoon.
Upon his arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, he was warmly welcomed by his supporters, who gathered at the airport gate, chanting slogans in his favor.
From early in the day, royalist groups had gathered in various locations and marched in rallies to the airport to show their support.
At the airport, the former king stood by his vehicle and acknowledged the enthusiastic welcome from his supporters.
