The informal meeting of the Maoist Center office-bearers at Prachanda's residence in Khumaltar this morning decided to convene the opposition parties' meeting, as informed by Maoist Center Secretary Devendra Poudel.
Chairman Prachanda and senior leaders of the Maoist Center are currently heading to the Parliament building in New Baneshwor to attend the meeting.
The opposition parties include the Maoist Center, CPN (Unified Socialist), Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Rastriya Janamorcha (RJM), and Aam Janata Party (AJP).
The meeting comes ahead of a parliamentary session this afternoon, where the government plans to present five ordinances, excluding the land-related ordinance, for a decision.
The opposition parties had previously concluded in a meeting that the government was trying to rule through ordinances by bypassing the Parliament, and they decided to jointly protest the move.
