Jhalanath Khanal rules out party unification

Kathmandu, March 4 — Senior leader of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist), Jhalanath Khanal, has stated that there is no possibility of party unification with any political party at the moment.
Khanal explained that there was no need for party unification at this point, which is why it is not a possibility.
Speaking at a press conference in Dhanusha on Tuesday, he said, “Immediate party unification with anyone is not possible. The situation for that has not arisen yet. However, operational unity is possible with anyone"
"Operational unity can be based on issues. For example, there is a growing threat to nationalism today. Why haven’t all left-wing parties, and others, been able to unite and stand together? Nepal has made the map with its legitimate claims, and it must be implemented. Can’t we stand for that?” he asked.
Khanal also criticized the current government, accusing it of carrying a "bag of crises" and commented that one of those crises was the recently issued ordinances.
He questioned the necessity of bringing ordinances, asking, “Was there a pressing need to issue them?”
