Lightning claims two in Khotang

Khotang – Two persons were killed after lightning struck them in Khotang district on Wednesday. 
The deceased have been identified as Sambar Bahadur Dahal, 62, of Rupakot Majhuwagadhi municipality-2 and Bal Kumari Khatri, 55, of Sakela rural municipality. 

The lightning struck Dahal when he was sitting at his house. Injured Dahal died on the way to hospital. 
Similarly, Khatri died after the lightning struck her while she was preparing snacks at kitchen. She died on the spot in the incident, said Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Khotang, Lok Darshan Thapa. 
Prem Bahadur Khatri, husband of Bal Kumari was also injured in the lightning. He is receiving treatment at a local health post.
