Maoist Center office-bearers meeting begins

Kathmandu, February 3 — A meeting of the office-bearers of the CPN (Maoist Center) has begun to finalize the division of responsibilities and leadership changes.

The meeting, which is being held at the residence of Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' in Khumaltar, is preparing to assign the responsibilities of all central committee members and send them to local levels.

The task force led by Vice Chairman Pampha Bhusal had submitted a proposal regarding the division of responsibilities and leadership changes on January 15. However, the meeting had been repeatedly postponed due to the busy schedules of Chairman Prachanda and other leaders.

Secretary Dinanath Sharma informed that today’s meeting will discuss changes in the responsibilities of provincial in-charges, as well as the assignment of duties to student leaders who have reached the age limit of 32.

He also mentioned that the meeting would prepare a plan for campaigns on the East-West Highway and the Mid-Hill Highway route.
