Eight Madhes-centered parties to discuss alliance at Singha Durbar
Kathmandu, January 30 — A meeting of the task forces for cooperation and alliance among Madhesi parties is scheduled to take place today.
The meeting will include participation from eight Madhes-centered parties and is being called by the Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal, led by Upendra Yadav, at Singha Durbar.
Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal has formed a dialogue committee led by Vice-Chairman Rajkishore Yadav, which is organizing this meeting to discuss with the dialogue committees of other parties.
The meeting will be attended by representatives from Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal, Janata Samajbadi Party, Loktantrik Samajbadi Party Nepal, Nagarik Unmukti Party, Janamat Party, Terai Madhes Lokatantrik Party, Rashtriya Mukti Party Nepal, and Janata Pragatisheel Party.
All the parties, except for Nagarik Unmukti Party, have already formed their own separate dialogue committees.
A meeting of the dialogue committees was held last Monday, where an agreement was reached to create a joint document for cooperation or alliance.
The meeting also decided to form a task force, with one representative from each party, to draft the document. These issues will also be discussed in today’s meeting.
