KMC organizes morning procession on Martyrs' Day (photos)

Kathmandu, January 29 — The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has organized a morning procession, wreath-laying ceremony, and memorial assembly program on the occasion of Martyrs' Day.

For the past 12 years, the main Martyrs' Day ceremony has been held under the coordination of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, with week-long Martyrs' Day programs taking place. Following this tradition, various programs have been organized this year from Magh 10 to Magh 16 (January 23 to January 29).

According to the schedule of the program, on Magh 16 (January 29), Martyrs' Day, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, as it does every year, organized a rally from Shantibatika to the Martyrs' Memorial.

The rally was attended by ministers of the Government of Nepal, officials of constitutional bodies, high-ranking government officials, members of the Constituent Assembly, and members of the legislative parliament.
