Decision requiring govt employees to send their children to community schools

 

 

Bajura –The Badimalika Municipality here has made a decision requiring all the people drawing salary from the state coffers to mandatorily send their children to community schools. 
The municipality made such decision enacting its own education policy. The decision would come into effect from this school session. 


The Second municipal assembly of the municipality took this decision arguing that the government employees should promote community schools by sending their children to these schools as they draw their salary from the state. 
According to the Municipality, this rule applies to all the government employees, teachers, people's representatives and the NGO employees working within the boundary of the municipality from the current school year. 


There are 28 community schools, 35 early childhood development centres, three health posts, the District Hospital, the Agriculture and Livestock Services Office, among other government offices in the municipality. Around 2,000 employees need to oblige to this decision of the municipality. 


Deputy Mayor Kabita Bista said the municipal assembly took 11 decisions besides this decision. One such decision is to adopt e-attendance at all the schools and government offices in the municipality and also to expand the e-services. 
The municipal assembly also passed the Badimalika Municipality FM Radio (Management and Operation) Procedures, 2074 forfacilitating the smooth operation of FM radio stations in the municipality.
