Malaysia, January 22 —  Australia Women Under-19 scored 139 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their 20 overs against Nepal Women Under-19 at the ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup in Malaysia.

The innings saw solid contributions from Caoimhe Bray, who top-scored with 45 runs off 34 balls, and Hasrat Gill, who remained not out at 30 off 21 balls.

Chloe Ainsworth also added 16 runs from just 9 balls, helping Australia reach a competitive total.

Puja Mahato was the standout bowler for Nepal, claiming 3 wickets for 31 runs in her 4 overs, while Seemana KC took 2 wickets for 35 runs.

Riya Sharma also made a key contribution with the ball, picking up 1 wicket for 28 runs.

Australia's early collapse, with Kate Pelle (3), Ines McKeon (8), and captain Lucy Hamilton (0) all dismissed cheaply, was countered by Bray and Gill's strong partnerships towards the middle and end of the innings.
