NEPSE index rises by 5 points
Kathmandu, January 21 — The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose by 5 points on Tuesday, climbing from 2,608 to 2,613 points.
The index reached a high of 2,618 points and fell to a low of 2,600 during the day.
106 companies saw their share prices increase, with Mandakini Hydropower shares hitting a positive circuit. The share price of Saptakoshi Development Bank rose by 8%.
However, River Falls Power Limited investors faced the biggest losses, with the company's share price dropping by 9%.
The total trading volume amounted to NPR 6.19 billion, with 1,162,626 shares of 311 companies traded.
Life insurance, non-life insurance, and other sectors contributed to the market's growth, with their indices increasing by 1.10%, 2.79%, and 1.78% respectively.
