UML prepares to convene Secretariat meeting

Kathmandu, January 19 — The ruling party, the CPN (UML), is preparing to call a Secretariat meeting. Party leaders have stated that the meeting will be held after the recently concluded Central Committee meeting, which took place from January 5 to 7.

Dr. Bhishma Adhikari, the Secretary of the UML Central Office, mentioned that discussions are ongoing regarding the Secretariat meeting.

"The date and time for the meeting have not been finalized yet, but the Secretariat meeting will be held soon," said Adhikari.

The Central Committee meeting decided to launch a three-month grassroots campaign to expand the organization at the ward and village levels, running from mid-January (Magh) to mid-March (Chaitra).

Before issuing a circular regarding the decisions from the Central Committee meeting through inter-party directives, UML is set to convene the Central Secretariat meeting to finalize the circular.
