Laborer beaten to death in Rupandehi

Butwal, January 17 —  A laborer has died after being beaten in Rupandehi.

According to the Rupandehi District Police Office, the incident occurred at the New Kamana Brick Industry in Hiraganj, Siyari Rural Municipality-7, where the worker was employed.

The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Nishthuri Kewat from Gorakhpur, India.

Kewat, who had been living with his family in a shed on the industry premises, was beaten by 19-year-old Krishna Kewat, a tractor driver from Siyari-6.

He was seriously injured in the attack and was taken to Lumbini Provincial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment, as confirmed by the information officer DSP Suraj Karki of the Rupandehi District Police Office.
