RSP supporters protest outside court, attack advocate Tripathi
Kathmandu, January 15 — The hearing on the remand of Rabi Lamichhane, the suspended president of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP), in the Swarnalakshmi Cooperative fraud case concluded on Wednesday.
With the conclusion of the hearing at the Kathmandu District Court, the verdict is expected to be issued today.
While the hearing on Lamichhane's remand was taking place, his supporters were shouting slogans loudly in the court premises.
Meanwhile, supporters of the RSP and party cadres attempted to attack senior advocate Dinesh Tripathi at the Kathmandu District Court premises.
On Wednesday, after the hearing in the case involving Ravi Lamichhane concluded, the attackers attempted to strike Tripathi as he was leaving.
Tripathi had represented the victims of the Swarnalakshmi Cooperative in the case. The police have arrested one individual involved in the attack.
