PM Oli to reveal ordinance details in press conference today

Kathmandu, January 15 — Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has announced that he will disclose the contents of the recently issued ordinances.

A press conference will be held at the Prime Minister's office in Singha Durbar at 4 PM today, where the details of the ordinances will be made public, according to the Prime Minister's Secretariat.

Following criticism and opposition regarding the ordinances, the Prime Minister decided to release the contents of these ordinances.

On January 10, the government introduced five ordinances.

However, the President's office only promulgated ordinances related to the amendment of certain Nepal laws concerning good governance, public service delivery, economic procedures, financial accountability, privatization, and the improvement of the economic and business environment for investment.

President Ramchandra Paudel had withheld the land-related ordinance for further review.
