Out of 84 wards of Baitadi, 42 are without secretaries

 

 

Baitadi – Different types of service have been affected in lack of employees at local-level even after nine months of local-level election. 


The people, hoped to get services centre at Singha Durbar at their own villages after local level election, have now been facing problems even to get services that were easily available in the villages earlier. 
Out of 84 wards of the district, 42 wards are without secretaries. Chairperson of Shivanath rural municipality, Karna Singh Saud, said that all six wards of Shivanath rural municipality are without secretary. 


He said, "Different types of activities have been disrupted in lack of secretaries." 
Similarly, out of six wards of Pancheshwor rural municipality, only three wards have secretaries and they used to live at the district headquarters that has caused problems to service seekers, said Chairperson of Pancheshwor rural municipality, Gorakh Bahadur Chand. 


Likewise, out of nine wards of Sigas rural municipality, only two wards have secretaries. Chairperson of Sigas rural municipality, Hari Singh Dhami, said, "We have been facing problems to carry out activities in lack of secretaries." 
Spokesperson of Purchaudi municipality, Gautam Prasad Bhatta, said that out of 10 wards of the municipality, seven are without secretaries. 


Similarly, out of seven wards of Dilasaini rural municipality, only three wards have secretaries while three wards of Surnaya rural municipality have no secretaries. 
The locals said that they have been facing various types of problems in lack of secretaries in wards at time when the country has already adopted federal system.
