Bamdev Gautam optimistic about quick unity with CPN (US)

Kathmandu, January 1 — Chairman of the 'Communist Party of Nepal National Unity Campaign', Bamdev Gautam, has announced that a mutual understanding has been reached with the CPN (Unified Socialist) Party for party unification.

After a discussion with Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Nepal on Thursday regarding party unity, Gautam told reporters that both parties are now aligned and committed to moving forward together.

Gautam stated, "Madhavji and I are now united. We have agreed on a common understanding for party unity. Once the unity is finalized, we will inform the media on the same day."

In response to questions about the timeline for unity, Gautam expressed optimism, saying that it could happen soon. When asked about the inclusion of Bhim Rawal, Gautam replied that Madhav Nepal would be the best person to address that matter.

Regarding allegations of victimization by KP Sharma Oli, Gautam rejected the claim.

He clarified that, having resigned from the UML himself, he had never faced oppression from Oli, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Madhav Nepal, or Jhalanath Khanal.
