Nepal and Gautam hold talks on party merger

Kathmandu, December 30 — A meeting took place between CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal and former UML Vice Chair Bamdev Gautam.

The meeting was held on Monday at the Unified Socialist's central office in Aloknagar.

During the meeting, discussions centered around the topic of party unity.

Earlier, the Central Committee of the CPN (Unified Socialist) had decided to bring Gautam into the party. Following this, a dialogue committee was also formed from both sides.

Chairman Nepal has expressed his readiness to offer Gautam a prominent position in the party, placing him right after Madhav Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal, should he join.

However, delays have occurred in reaching an agreement regarding the management of other leaders who may join the party along with Gautam in the unity campaign.
