One killed in Makwanpur jeep accident

Makwanpur, December 29 — One person has died in a jeep accident on the inner road at Chaakle Bagar in Rakshirang Rural Municipality-5, Makwanpur.
The jeep with the registration number Sup Pr 01-001 Cha 2946, heading from Manahari to Kailash Rural Municipality, lost its brakes and fell nearly four meters off the road today.
The deceased has been identified as 56-year-old Shanta Bahadur Gomba from Kailash Rural Municipality-3, according to the District Police Office of Makwanpur.
Gomba, who sustained serious injuries in the accident, passed away during treatment at Manahari Hospital.
There were eight passengers in the jeep, and the other passengers are reported to be safe.
The jeep driver is currently on the run.
