Madhes Institute of Health Sciences commences MBBS classes

Janakpurdham, December 18 — The Madhes Institute of Health Sciences, Janakpurdham has started classes under MBBS programme.

The MIHS has acquired permission from the Federal Government for enrolling 50 students under this programme.

MIHS Vice-Chancellor Dr Akur Shah said that 75 per cent of the 50 students will be studying under full scholarship quota while the remaining 25 per cent students will be fee-payers.

Thirty-eight students have been admitted under the full scholarship quota. Vice-Chancellor Dr Shah said the foreign students will have to pay fee at the rate of 4.5 million Indian rupees per head.

So far only one Indian student has enrolled for the course. The deadline for admission under MBBS programme is January 8, 2025.

The MBBS classes will be run at the Academy College located behind the Janakpurdham-based Provincial Hospital, it is said.
